Amidst the growing number of corona virus cases, the army has started war-footing to set up more quarantine centers for its personnel and expand its medical infrastructure for civilians. Earlier, a video of Ladakh soldiers is going viral, in which they are seen swearing that they will neither infect themselves with the Corona virus nor allow others to happen. Meanwhile, Army Chief Manoj Mukund Narwane will tell the nation about the Army’s preparations against the corona virus on Friday.

The army said that the exercise to identify additional infrastructure for personnel to set up isolation centers in each station has started. An Army official said that the Indian Army is also ready to expand its network of hospital and laboratory facilities to assist the civil administration in the COVID-19 hotspot.

Till now, the army has been running quarantine centers in Manesar, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur for Indians stranded abroad. There is a plan to increase public health experts in severely affected areas when needed.

Additional training of army medical personnel is also being conducted in various hospitals to better prepare COVID-19. Let us tell you that on Thursday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh held a review meeting with his officials to discuss the work plan of the ministry.
