Criminal cases filed against Twitter, WhatsApp and TikTok in Hyderabad, accused of spreading hatred against CAA

A criminal case has been registered in Hyderabad against Twitter, Whats App and TikTok. The complaint filed said that through these platforms of social media, the work of spreading hate in society is being done. A petition filed in Hyderabad’s Nampally Court has complained against these three social media apps demanding strict action against them.

The complainant has claimed in his petition that around 1200 groups have been formed on these apps after the protests started against CAA, NRC and NPR. He has also claimed that Pakistanis are also involved in these groups.

Hyderabad Cybercrime Police registered case
Based on the directions of the court, Hyderabad Cybercrime Police have registered a case under 153A, 121A, 294, 295, 505B and 156 (3). Police officials said that soon these companies will be issued notice for reply.

The charge of spreading hate
They are trying to spread inflammatory messages between the two religions. Posts and videos of inciting hatred against each other’s religions are being shared. The complainant alleges that after the passage of the CAA from Parliament, some anti-social elements are campaigning against the CAA using freedom of expression.

It is also alleged that the posts are being shared in many languages that these inflammatory messages are being circulated not only in English and Hindi languages ​​but also in Urdu, Arabic, Tamil, Telugu. Without checking the veracity of the videos and posts being shared on them, it is being spread to a large number of people.
