There was an explosion near PVR in Prashant Vihar, Delhi. According to police, a massive explosion occurred near a PVR multiplex in Delhi’s Prashant Vihar on Thursday. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Police further said that they are verifying the call received about the blast at the spot. A police team is also investigating the cause of the blast. “A call was received today at 11.48 am about a blast from Prashant Vihar area. Fire tenders have reached the spot,” ANI quoted Delhi Fire Service as saying.

The explosion near PVR Cinema in Prashant Vihar spread panic among residents and passersby. As soon as information about the incident was received, emergency services including fire engines reached the spot. Officials and police have not yet confirmed the cause of the blast and no casualties have been reported so far. After the incident, the area has been cordoned off and the police is investigating the incident.

Police said that the driver of a three-wheeler parked nearby suffered minor injuries. The entire area has been cordoned off. A Delhi Fire Service official said, “We received information about the explosion in Prashant Vihar area at 11.48 am. We sent four fire tenders to the spot. Our teams are gathering the remaining information.” Police said in a statement that the PCR unit had received information about a bomb-like explosion in Prashant Vihar area.

Bomb detection team, dog squad, local police force and Delhi Fire Service personnel are present at the spot. According to police sources, the blast that took place on Thursday morning is similar to the blast that took place outside the boundary walls of the CRPF school in Prashant Vihar last month. “But it was a very low intensity blast which occurred in front of a sweet shop.
