Today Diwali is being celebrated in a grand manner all over the country. As a symbol of light in darkness, this festival is one of the ancient festivals of India which fills new enthusiasm and enthusiasm among the people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan and wished her Diwali. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee performed Kali Puja and Diwali prayers at her residence in Kolkata. Diwali celebrations are going on at Lal Chowk, Srinagar. Organized by Paschimnamnaya Sharda Peetham, the festival is witnessing participation from both locals and tourists.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday celebrated Diwali with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel deployed in Kutch, Gujarat. The Prime Minister, in BSF uniform, distributed sweets among Army, Navy and Air Force personnel at Lakki Nala in Sir Creek area in Kutch. Since coming to power in 2014, PM Modi has made it a tradition to celebrate Diwali with military personnel at various places in the country. Every year, Modi visits military facilities, where he interacts with soldiers and celebrates festivals.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister wished the people of India a happy Diwali in an ex post. He posted on Instagram, “Wishing the countrymen a very Happy Diwali. On this divine festival of lights, I wish everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous life. May everyone be blessed with the blessings of Maa Lakshmi and Lord Shri Ganesha. “
