Bathed in Srivari Pushkarni
In fact, amid the controversy over adulteration in the Laddu Prasadam of Tirupati Balaji temple, former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) chairman and YSRCP leader B. Karunakar Reddy took a public oath on Monday to confirm his innocence. He took a bath in Srivari Pushkarni. After this, he reached the temple premises and looked very emotional holding a camphor aarti in his hand. Oath taken in front of the main temple complex
B. Karunakara Reddy invoked the Lord and said, “Though political statements are strictly prohibited in this temple, I had no choice but to defend myself in this manner. I have never done any fraudulent work during my tenure. These allegations are malicious and politically motivated aimed at tarnishing the image of YSRCP and inciting public sentiments. I am taking this step out of frustration. If I am found guilty of any wrongdoing, I am ready to face any punishment. O Lord, I pray to you not to spare me or my family if I have committed any sin.”
Case registered due to political statement
As soon as Karunakara Reddy made a political statement during the oath ceremony, the policemen snatched the camphor aarti from his hands. After this, he was taken away.
