Four people were killed and some were injured in two separate road accidents in Ramban and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. The officers provided this information.
A cab with Punjab state registration number fell into a deep gorge near Magarkoot in Ramban district around 7 am, killing the driver and a female passenger on the spot, officials said.
He said that four other passengers – Neha (35), Aman (36), Manisha (40) and Meghna (35), residents of Maharashtra, were seriously injured in the accident and were pulled out by the rescue team of police and local volunteers. He told that this group had probably come to visit Kashmir during holidays.
Officials said the second accident took place at Gulabpura in Chassana area of Reasi district at around 4.30 am. Here two laborers died after a dumper fell into a ditch.
Both the laborers were not originally local residents here. He told that the dumper was coming from Bakori towards Sungari and its occupants, Surinder Singh (42) of Punjab and Munna Kumar (26), resident of Bihar, died on the spot. The bodies of the deceased have been removed and taken to the hospital for post-mortem.
