Ayodhya. Yogi government is organizing a grand celebration of the eighth Deepotsav in Ayodhya this year. On this occasion, preparations are in full swing to illuminate the city of Ayodhya with lamps and make the first Diwali unforgettable in the new and grand temple built at Shri Ram’s birthplace. This year, there is a plan to create a world record by lighting 25 to 28 lakh lamps on the banks of Saryu, while special types of lamps will be lit in the Shri Ram temple. To keep the temple building safe from stains and soot, special lamps have been arranged, which will remain bright for a long time.
Temple premises will be decorated with beautiful flowers
There is also a special plan to decorate Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple with attractive flowers. The responsibility of decoration has been assigned to the temple complex by dividing it into several sections and sub-sections. Ashu Shukla, a voluntarily retired IG from Bihar cadre, has been entrusted with the responsibility of systematically lighting each corner of the temple, decorating all the entrances with torans, cleaning and decoration. With this, devotees will be able to have divine darshan of the temple decorated with beautiful flowers and lamps.

Environmental protection was also taken care of
Special attention has also been given to environmental protection in this festival of lights. To protect the structure of the temple building from the soot of smoke, special wax lamps will be lit in the premises, which will minimize carbon emissions. It is the effort of the Temple Trust that this Diwali, Ayodhya not only becomes a center of religion and faith, but also gives the message of cleanliness and environmental protection.
You can see the building from outside till 12 midnight
To make the grandeur of Deepotsav unforgettable for the devotees, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has decided to keep the temple open for darshan from outside till 12 midnight from October 29 to November 1. From Gate No. 4B (Luggage Scanner Point), devotees will be able to enjoy the grand decoration of the temple till midnight. This festival of lights will not only give the message of faith but also of environment and beauty, due to which Ayodhya’s Diwali will make a special place in the world.
