From 2022, rail travel is going to be more enjoyable for railway passengers. They will be provided with the facility to watch movies, shows, educational programs, videos during the journey, free and paid for free. RailTel’s public sector undertaking RailTel gave this information on Tuesday. The government telecom company has selected M / s Margo Network, a subsidiary of Zee Entertainment, as the Digital Entertainment Service Provider (DESP) for providing content on demand (COD) on trains and stations.
Premium / Express / Mail trains including suburban trains will also be found
RailTel said in a statement, “COD will be available in all premium / express / mail trains of Indian Railways as well as suburban trains in the next two years. In this, material like movies, shows, educational programs will be made available in both free and paid forms for a contract period of 10 years, including the first two years of implementation. ”
Under this project, RailTel will provide various pre-loaded multilingual content (movies, music videos, general entertainment, lifestyle), etc. in moving trains through media servers already installed in trains.
Network problems will not come in the way
COD will also facilitate e-commerce or m-commerce and travel booking (bus, cab, train) etc. Along with this, other innovative solutions in the field of digital marketing will also be available on it. Passengers with COD will be able to enjoy uninterrupted free subscription based entertainment service during their journey despite unstable mobile network in moving trains. Passengers will also be able to enjoy high quality buffer free streaming on personal devices.Get Business News, Latest India News, Sports News and other Breaking News on Investment Schemes, Share Market and much more on 24 x 7 News.
