The national capital Delhi and NCR has turned into a gas chamber. The situation in Delhi NCR is getting worse with each passing day. The level of air pollution in Delhi NCR is continuously increasing, due to which the general public is facing problems. Even breathing has become difficult for the common man in Delhi NCR. To deal with air pollution, strict restrictions have now been implemented in Delhi under Grape-4. Many restrictions will have to be faced if the rules of Grape 4 are implemented.
– Under Group 4, entry of trucks in Delhi has been stopped. Only trucks carrying essential goods and providing essential services will be allowed to enter Delhi. However, entry of LNG/CNG/electric/BS-VI diesel trucks has not been banned. They may enter.
– Entry of registered light commercial vehicles other than EVs/CNG/BS-VI diesel is not allowed in Delhi. However, vehicles used for essential goods or services will be able to enter Delhi.
– There has been a ban on plying of registered BS-IV, diesel-powered medium goods vehicles and heavy goods vehicles in Delhi. Vehicles which are used to transport essential goods have been exempted.
Under Group 3, construction related to highways, roads, flyovers, overbridges, power transmission, pipelines, telecommunication has been banned.
– Preparations are being made to physically stop classes in schools in NCR and run them in online mode. A decision on this may be taken soon.
– In NCR, the state government can insist on reducing the number of employees in public, municipal and private offices to 50 percent. All others may be allowed to work from home.
– Employees in central government offices may be allowed to work from home.
– The state government can also insist on implementing other measures. This includes ban on non-emergency commercial activities, closure of educational institutions, etc.
