A new look of President Draupadi Murmu was seen. President Murmu witnessed the operations of the Indian Navy at sea. Went on indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. Also boarded an Indian fighter jet. This was the first time that President Dopadri Murmu experienced naval ships. President Draupadi Murmu observed an extensive operational demonstration by the Indian Navy during her visit to Goa. On arrival at the Naval Air Station, INS Hansa in Goa, he was welcomed by Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff. and Vice Admiral Sanjay J Singh, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command. To mark the occasion, the President was presented with a ceremonial ‘Guard of Honour’ consisting of 150 personnel. President Murmu then boarded the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, which was deployed in the sea off the coast of Goa along with 15 frontline warships and submarines. This was President Murmu’s first visit to Indian Navy ships at sea. During his time aboard the ship, he received extensive information on the Navy’s operational strategy, roles and mission framework.

The President directly observed various naval operations, including take-offs and landings by deck-based fighter jets, missile launch exercises from a warship, submarine maneuvers and a coordinated flypast involving more than 30 aircraft. The display concluded with a traditional steam-past, showcasing the formidable capabilities of the Indian Naval Fleet.

Following the operational showcase President Murmu interacted with the crew of INS Vikrant over lunch and delivered an address which was broadcast to all naval units at sea, expressing his appreciation and support for their service.
