On US prosecutors charging Gautam Adani and others in the alleged solar energy contract bribery case, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said that JPC has been demanded and I hope the Center will take it seriously and the matter will be thoroughly investigated. .

Industrialist Gautam Adani has been accused by US prosecutors of paying $250 million in bribes to Indian officials in exchange for favorable terms to win solar power contracts in India. Since then, it is being targeted by various political parties in the country. On US prosecutors charging Gautam Adani and others in the alleged solar energy contract bribery case, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said that JPC has been demanded and I hope the Center will take it seriously and the matter will be thoroughly investigated. . Earlier, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, regarding the allegations made by the American prosecutors against Gautam Adani, said that Adani should be arrested immediately. While talking to reporters, he also claimed that Gautam Adani will not be arrested because Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in collusion with him. Rahul Gandhi also said that the opposition will raise the issue related to Adani in the winter session of Parliament. He said that Adani has broken the rules in both America and India.

Rahul Gandhi sarcastically said that Narendra Modi gave the slogan: If there is one, it is safe. If Narendra Modi and Adani are one in India then they are safe. Nothing can be done about Adani in India. He claimed that here the Chief Minister is sent to jail and Adani is roaming outside after committing a scam of Rs 2,000 crore because Narendra Modi is protecting him. Hitting back at Congress, BJP leader Amit Malviya said that one should read before making allegations. Amit Malviya wrote that all the states mentioned here were opposition ruled at that time. Therefore, before preaching, respond on the bribe taken by Congress and its allies. Furthermore, an Indian court could similarly, on legal grounds, charge US companies with bribing US government officials to deny them access to Indian markets.

Adani, India’s second richest man, has been accused by US authorities of bribery and securities fraud in two separate cases. A criminal indictment has been filed by the US Justice Department in a New York court, accusing him and seven others, including his nephew Sagar, of paying bribes to unnamed officials of state governments like Andhra Pradesh to buy expensive solar power. So that a profit of more than two billion US dollars can be earned in 20 years. According to the lawsuit, New Delhi-based Azure Power was also part of the alleged bribery conspiracy. Additionally, the US Securities and Exchange Commission also charged Gautam and Sagar Adani and an executive of Azure Power with “violating anti-fraud provisions of the federal securities laws.” Adani Group was contacted to get information in this regard, but at present no response has been received from their side. However, the group’s renewable energy arm Adani Green Energy Limited on Thursday refused to issue a $600 million bond.
