Addressing a rally in Maharashtra’s Akola, the PM had said that wherever Congress forms the government, that state becomes an ATM for the Congress royal family. These days Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana have become their ATMs. In the name of elections in Maharashtra, they have looted Rs 700 crore from liquor vendors in Karnataka. The Prime Minister said, you can imagine the loot after winning the elections.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said he will quit politics if Prime Minister Narendra Modi proves his allegation that Congress has collected Rs 700 crore from liquor shops in Karnataka for its Maharashtra election campaign. Rejecting the claims as politically motivated, Siddaramaiah challenged the Prime Minister to resign from politics if the allegations were proven false. Prime Minister Modi had recently alleged that the Congress government in Karnataka had looted Rs 700 crore from liquor vendors in the state in the run-up to the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s allegations that the Congress collected money from liquor shops in Karnataka for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Speaking to ANI, Yediyurappa said that Congress looted the money and sent the amount for Maharashtra Assembly elections. What the PM said is 100 percent correct. They looted here like nothing else. He has sent that amount for Maharashtra elections.
