Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said he will quit politics if Prime Minister Narendra Modi proves his allegation that Congress has collected Rs 700 crore from liquor shops in Karnataka for its Maharashtra election campaign. Rejecting the claims as politically motivated, Siddaramaiah challenged the Prime Minister to resign from politics if the allegations were proven false. Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s allegations that the Congress collected money from liquor shops in Karnataka for the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
