In Lucknow, a young man was murdered and his body thrown under the bridge, two arrested.

Jankipuram police of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, arrested two people on Saturday in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old youth. Police gave this information.

According to a statement issued by Lucknow Police Commissionerate, Mohammad Aftab (20) had gone missing from home on the evening of October 8. Later his body was recovered on October 11 from under the Ghaila bridge in Madiyaon police station area.

In the complaint given to the police, Aftab’s father Mohammad Altaf alleged that Aftab was murdered by Fazil and Afaq, residents of the same area. “The reason behind the murder was Aftab’s friendship with the girl with whom Fazil’s marriage was fixed,” the statement said. During interrogation, Fazil and his associate confessed that it was because of this that they killed Aftab. After the murder, the body was thrown under the bridge.

According to the police, the accused were arrested after scanning the CCTV footage and collecting evidence. The statement said that the accused have been produced in the court and sent to jail after completing the legal process.
