Indian Army started Computer Training Program at Chinar Women Empowerment Center

Let us tell you that the Indian Army has set up modern computer laboratories with all the necessary equipment and has appointed one male and one female instructor to provide individual and practical training.

The Indian Army is running many types of programs with the aim of making the women of Jammu and Kashmir self-reliant. In this series, computer training program for girls has been started under Chinar Women Empowerment Center in Ganderbal district. The initiative aims to provide participants with essential digital skills and enhance their career prospects. This program, offered free of cost, covers basic computer operations, internet usage and proficiency in using software. The local people have warmly welcomed this initiative, as girls in the area do not get such opportunities and have to face various socio-economic challenges.

Let us tell you that the Indian Army has set up modern computer laboratories with all the necessary equipment and has appointed one male and one female instructor to provide individual and practical training. Currently 40 girls from various schools and colleges of the area are participating in the training sessions. This initiative underlines the Indian Army’s commitment to promoting gender equality and socio-economic development in the Valley. The Indian Army wants to bridge the digital divide as well as empower the new generation of women.
