IndiGo and Air India canceled their flights to Bali on Wednesday due to ash generated by the volcanic eruption on the Indonesian island. The Mount Levotobi Laki Laki volcano, located on a remote island in East Nusa Tenggara province, erupted earlier this month, resulting in a cloud of ash.
These clouds can become a threat to flight operations and as a result, many airlines have canceled their services to Bali. In a post on ‘X’, IndiGo said, “6E Travel Advisory: Due to the recent volcanic eruption in Bali, flights to and from the region have been canceled as the ash cloud may impact air travel. Can.”
