Reaction is coming from politicians on his first political rally. The 50-year-old actor, popularly known as Thalapathy Vijay, in his maiden political speech in Villupuram had listed out his party’s views and hit out at the ruling DMK as well as the BJP.
Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay had launched a party and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) on 2 February. This Mahasabha was discussed across the country yesterday. In the first conference of the party, Vijay told everything from the party’s ideology to strategy. There are speculations that Vijay will also contest the assembly elections in 2026. Now reactions to his first political rally are coming from many other politicians. The 50-year-old actor, popularly known as Thalapathy Vijay, in his maiden political speech in Villupuram had listed out his party’s views and hit out at the ruling DMK as well as the BJP.
Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker M Appavu said that Vijay is an alternative to Rajinikanth for the BJP. Talking to the media, he said that as you all know, BJP had tried to bring Rajinikanth into politics, but he could not do it, so Vijay can replace him. I am not saying this… but this is what is being said. Appavu said that busy Anand is the general secretary of Vijay’s party. It is being said that Busi Anand is from Puducherry and is close to BJP Minister (A) Namasivayam and Home Minister Amit Shah. In fact Vijay’s father himself had called Busy Anand a criminal.
Appavu said the TVK founder had said that DMK people were earning money through corruption. But the way he has been brought (into politics), it seems he is involved in huge tax evasion. So before calling someone corrupt, you should be clean. Earlier, state Law Minister S Reghupathi had taken a dig at Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) and called it the C team of the BJP.
