The bus met with an accident near village Farma. Authorities immediately launched a rescue operation and rushed 30 passengers to the Government Medical College Hospital, Udhampur for treatment.

At least 30 passengers were injured when a private mini bus skidded off the road and fell into a ditch in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district. According to officials, most of the injured were nursing college students. The incident occurred around 12.30 pm when the mini bus was going from Salmari towards Udhampur. The bus met with an accident near village Farma. Authorities immediately launched a rescue operation and rushed 30 passengers to the Government Medical College Hospital, Udhampur for treatment.

Officials said three of the injured have been declared critical and the process of sending them to Jammu for special treatment is underway. Udhampur Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai visited the hospital to take stock of the situation. He told reporters that around 30 to 35 people were traveling in the minibus, which, according to preliminary information, fell into a ditch after its brakes failed. He said an investigation would be launched to find out the cause of the accident.
