Acting on a tip-off, the police, along with the Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), arrested a person in UNISU, who is an associate of terrorists, while checking the vehicles, a police spokesperson said.
Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday arrested an associate of terrorists and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession. A police officer gave this information.
Acting on a tip-off, the police, along with the Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), arrested a person in UNISU, who is an associate of terrorists, while checking the vehicles, a police spokesperson said.
He said that the arrested person has been identified as Ishfaq Majeed Dar, a resident of Latti Short in Sopore area. The spokesperson said that during the search, arms and ammunition including a pistol, two magazines, 12 bullets and a mobile phone were recovered from the accused. Police said that a case has been registered at Handwara police station and investigation has been started.
