The talent of young artists was showcased in a two-day art exhibition in Srinagar. The objective of the exhibition is to showcase the talent of various artists while inspiring the community, especially the young generation, to engage with the world of art. Speaking to Prabhasakshi, participant and renowned artist Jahangir Aslam, who is a doctor by profession, said that such exhibitions are important for artists to showcase their work.

He said that the artist needs exhibitions to showcase his work, he improves during exhibitions and receives praise and criticism which teaches him a lot. He said that our aim is to inspire the public to explore nature, art, culture, heritage and reduce screen time and gadgets.
Falak, another young artist, said he had participated in the exhibition only to learn from other artists. He said, “No artist can learn inside four walls, he learns only by watching the work of others.” A visitor and art critic said, “Such initiatives greatly help the society towards protection, promotion and conservation and recognition of our age-old cultural heritage.”

This program is organized to showcase their talent and inspire people especially the young generation to develop and hone their talents and hobbies while keeping alive their passion towards the inherent talents and skills, for which Kashmir is famous globally.
