Jharkhand Elections: BJP's first list released, ticket for Babulal Marandi from Dhanwar, Champai Soren from Seraikela

BJP has released the first list of 66 candidates for Jharkhand elections 2024. Party state president Babulal Marandi Dhanwar has been given the ticket. Whereas, Lobin Hembrom will contest from Borio, Sita Soren from Jamtara, former CM Champai Soren from Seraikela, Geeta Balmuchu will contest from Chaibasa. Geeta Koda got ticket from Jaganathpur Babai while Arjun Munda’s wife Meera Munda will contest from Potka. Former Jharkhand CM and BJP leader Champai Soren said today that our preparations for the elections are very good.

President Babulal Marandi said today that only yesterday in-charges of both the parties (BJP-LJP) were present and it was announced in front of you all that BJP-LJP will contest the elections in alliance. All the talks have been done regarding the seats of the alliance. He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, we have decided to contest elections together in Jharkhand also. The plight of Jharkhand, the way the government has betrayed the people of Jharkhand, we have to free Jharkhand from those who have looted Jharkhand in the last five years and a better government has to be formed in Jharkhand because if Jharkhand is strong then the country will be strong.

In the Jharkhand Assembly elections, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) constituent ‘All Jharkhand Students Union’ (AJSU) will contest on 10 seats, Janata Dal (United) on two and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) on one seat. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) co-in-charge for Jharkhand assembly elections and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma gave this information on Friday. Sharma said the seat-sharing arrangement has almost been finalized but the BJP is adopting a ‘watch and wait’ strategy as rival parties including Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) are yet to reveal their plans.
