Responding to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s comments, Soren called on BJP leaders to question the leadership and accountability of their Prime Minister regarding border security and alleged infiltration from Bangladesh.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren criticized the BJP, saying it was promoting and exacerbating divisions in the society and failing to support marginalized groups. Responding to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s comments, Soren called on BJP leaders to question the leadership and accountability of their Prime Minister regarding border security and alleged infiltration from Bangladesh.
Hemant Soren said that keep in mind that these people (BJP) create tension between Hindus and Muslims, create fights between brothers and create divisions in every house. Questioning, he said that today I want to ask these BJP leaders to ask their Prime Minister. When he was not in power, from which book did he rule? He had said that the country should be run by the Constitution and who is responsible for the infiltrators from Bangladesh after the Hindu-Muslim riots?
After this he emphasized that India belongs to its people and raised questions on border control. He said that when we talk about Bangladesh, we have to ask who has control over the border — it is in the hands of the central government, BSF and the state government. Under what circumstances does the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh get permission? What kind of government allows this? We do not want any publicity from anyone. Taking a dig at the BJP, Soren said that today they do not have money to help farmers, labourers, poor, elderly, students or women, but they have enough money to waive off the loans of their billionaire friends.
