Jharkhand: JMM demands suspension of internet service near counting centers

Jharkhand’s ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) wrote a letter to the Election Commission on Friday night demanding suspension of internet services within a two kilometer radius of the counting centres.

JMM has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of deploying electronics experts from other states here. JMM also demanded a complete ban on electronic devices near counting centres.

Counting of votes for Jharkhand Assembly elections will take place on Saturday at 24 centers in the state. JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya claimed in a letter to the Election Commission, “We have learned from reliable sources that the BJP has deployed electronic experts called from other states outside the counting centres. This is a serious matter.
