New Delhi: The trial run of Vande Bharat sleeper train can be started soon. According to information received from railway sources, Vande Bharat Sleeper train will reach Railway’s Integral Coach Factory Chennai today. Till now this Vande Bharat sleeper train was being prepared in the facility of BML Bengaluru. Oscillation trial will first be conducted by ICF to check the train on various parameters.
Inauguration may happen in December
After this, after stability trial, speed trial and other technical trials, it will be run for the passengers. The entire process may take about two months. It is expected that its commercial run will start by December. Its fare will be on the lines of Rajdhani trains.
The new Vande Bharat Express sleeper will have this many coaches.
The new Vande Bharat Express sleeper train will have 16 coaches and 823 berths and will consist of 11 3AC coaches (611 berths), 4 2AC coaches (188 berths), and 1 1AC coach (24 berths). Passengers will not feel any shock in the train.
The train will have these facilities
The coaches of the Vande Bharat Express sleeper train will have a reading lamp, charging outlet, a snack table and a mobile/magazine holder. The coaches will be equipped with armor collision avoidance system. All coaches will have stainless steel car body. GFRP interior panels will be there. The cartons shall be fire safety compliant (EN 45545). There will be automatic doors.
Speed will be up to 180 km
Let us tell you that Indian Railways has ordered the construction of 200 Vande Bharat sleeper trains. Vande Bharat Sleeper train being manufactured by BEML is a new variant of Vande Bharat. It is expected that it will leave Rajdhani Express behind in terms of passenger comfort, speed and safety. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said last year that the basic design of Vande Bharat sleeper trains has been approved and construction of the train has started. The 10 rakes of the 16-coach Vande Bharat Sleeper train will run with a maximum operating speed of 160 kmph (180 kmph during trials).
