Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday said that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray is praising the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) because he is worried about his son Amit Thackeray.

Raj Thackeray has said that MNS will be part of the next BJP-led grand alliance government, whose Chief Minister will be from the BJP party. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut took a dig at Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray that the next Chief Minister will be from the BJP. Raut said Thackeray’s support to the BJP comes out of concern for his son Amit Thackeray, who is making his electoral debut from Mahim constituency in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Amit Thackeray is contesting for the first time as an MNS candidate from Mahim seat in Mumbai in the Maharashtra Assembly elections to be held on 20th November. On Wednesday, Raj Thackeray had said that MNS and BJP will come together after the elections and the next Chief Minister will be from BJP.
Raut told reporters, “The mentality of a person whose son is contesting elections can be understood. The person who once said that BJP should be driven out of Maharashtra and Amit Shah and Narendra Modi should not be allowed to enter the state, is praising BJP today. He said, “Raj Thackeray knows that in Maharashtra The (next) Chief Minister will be from Maha Vikas Aghadi.” Raj Thackeray had campaigned against the BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Later he changed his stance.
