In view of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi have presented their respective promises. Many tempting promises have been made by both the alliances. In such a situation, Mahavikas Aghadi and Mahayuti become aware of the difference in development work. Mahayuti has only given a comparison between the tenure of Mahavikas Aghadi and its own tenure.
Formation of Mahayuti government gave momentum to many schemes
In June 2022, a grand coalition government was formed under the leadership of Eknath Shinde. In the last two and a half years, this government has made various schemes and implemented them in the state. It was decided to give Rs 1500 per month to eligible beneficiaries under Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana for women and free higher education for girls, Jheel Ladki Yojana and Annapurna Yojana which gives free three cylinders every year to women were implemented in the budget. The announcement was made. People have claimed that no such scheme for the welfare of women was started during the Maha Vikas Aghadi government.
Various schemes for farmers and youth
For the empowerment of farmers, the Central Government has decided to give five hundred rupees per month to the farmers under the Kisan Samman Yojana. The grand coalition government of Eknath Shinde also added Rs 500 from the state government. Schemes like Re 1 crop insurance scheme, agricultural electricity bill waiver for farmers were brought and implemented. Rs 14 thousand crores were made available for free electricity, education research and training through schemes like Sarathi, Barti, on the job training facility for the youth. About 10 lakh youth will get the benefit of Boy Bhau Scheme. The Mahayuti government has decided to provide facilities for the youth of other communities through various corporations. Giving justice to senior citizens, the pension amount has been increased.
One lakh entrepreneurs were created
Working in the field of employment, the Grand Alliance government enabled Annasaheb Patil Economic Development Corporation for the Maratha community and created more than one lakh entrepreneurs through it. The decision to create a separate ministry for the disabled was also first taken by the Grand Alliance government. Thousands of youth were given employment opportunities through various employment fairs.
Recruitment for about 75 thousand posts
Government employee recruitment is a very intense topic for the youth. In the last two years, the Grand Alliance government recruited 75 thousand government posts. The preferred pension scheme of government employees has been implemented and the Mahayuti government has also decided to increase the remuneration of Anganwadi servants as well as Krishi Sevaks and Gram Rozgar Sevaks. During the Mahayuti government, 18000 posts of police constables were filled.
Accelerating Dharavi Redevelopment Project
Infrastructure sector is a very important sector for the development of any state. In this regard, the Mahayutiya government took several decisions like construction of roads, construction of highways, construction of railway facilities, accelerating port construction. Atal Setu and Mumbai Metro 3 are examples of this. Along with completing various projects, the grand alliance government has also accelerated the redevelopment of Dharavi slum, which is known as Asia’s largest slum. Under this, the tender process has been completed and the tender holding company has started the survey of huts.
New facility in health sector
Creating new facilities in the health sector, the grand alliance government led by Eknath Shinde, Balasaheb Thackeray launched its clinic scheme and started free testing of patients at hundreds of health centres. Also, the amount of insurance cover under Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana has been increased from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. This made it easier for poor people to get treatment for chronic diseases. The decision to establish 10 new medical colleges was also taken during the Mahayuti government.
Mahayuti’s double help in natural disaster
Shabari Adivasi Gharkul Yojana has been implemented for the tribal members. During its two and a half year tenure, Mahavikas Aghadi had sanctioned Rs 447 crore for 18 thousand 119 houses. During the Mahayuti period, Rs 771 crore has been approved for 1 lakh 25 thousand 700 houses. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government gave Rs 8701 crore to compensate farmers for their losses due to natural disasters, while during the Grand Alliance the same amount increased to Rs 16309 crore. Self-help savings groups are one factor that provides strong economic support to women in rural areas. Maha Vikas Aghadi provided assistance of Rs 13941 crore to self-help groups during its tenure, while assistance of Rs 28 thousand 811 crore was given to self-help groups during the Mahayuti period.
9 percent increase in foreign direct investment
The Mahayuti government has released its Pragati book and made a detailed comparison between the Mahavikas Aghadi and its tenure. Mahayuti has claimed that the GSDP rate of 1.9 percent during the Maha Vikas Aghadi period has increased to 8.5 percent during the Mahayuti period. During the Maha Vikas Aghadi, Maharashtra was receiving 26.83% of the country’s total FDI, while during the Maha Uyoti period the same figure has increased to 37%. Maha Vikas Aghadi built 6 lakh 57 thousand houses for the poor, while Mahayuti claims that 10 lakh 52 thousand houses were built during the Mahayuti period.
Get double the employment compared to Mavia
Under Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana, Mahavikas Aghadi had sanctioned Rs 2718 crore, Mahayuti has doubled this amount and sanctioned Rs 4108 crore. MSME is an important factor in employment generation. During Mahavikas Aghadi, the annual average of MSMEs was eight lakh ten thousand, which increased by 77% to 14 lakh 41 thousand during the Grand Alliance. The special emphasis of Mahayuti was on employment generation through employment fair. During the tenure of Mahavikas Aghadi, 396 employment fairs were organized and 36 thousand youth got employment, whereas during the tenure of Mahayuti, 1138 fairs were organized and 1 lakh 51 thousand youth got employment opportunities, Mahayuti has claimed in its report card.
