After voting for Maharashtra elections, most of the ‘exit polls’ have predicted the victory of the ruling Mahayuti, hence this meeting assumes great significance. The grand alliance includes Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Voting took place on Wednesday as part of the assembly elections. Counting of votes will take place on Saturday.
