The NCP leader said that if the AB form reaches me on time then I will contest the elections as a party candidate but if the form is not received on time then I will contest the elections as an independent candidate.
Nawab Malik on Tuesday filed his nomination as an independent candidate from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar Assembly seat for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. The NCP leader had said that the public has requested him to contest the elections from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar as they are very upset with the hooliganism and drug trade going on in the area. He said that I have filed nomination from NCP Ajit Pawar faction and have also filed nomination as an independent candidate. The party has given me AB form but this form has not reached me yet.

He had earlier said that I will file my nomination from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar assembly constituency on October 29. The public has requested me to contest elections from here. Nawab Malik claimed that the public wants change and I will contest from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar and will definitely win. I don’t care who is opposing me, the public is supporting me and I will contest the elections. Meanwhile, BJP officials said that they will always oppose Mawab Malik as he is accused of having links with Dawood Ibrahim, it is their party’s decision to give him ticket or not. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has further intensified its campaign for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The party has installed 150 LED vans to convey the party’s achievements and promises to the voters.
