Maharashtra Politics. Eknath Shinde broke silence on speculations of displeasure, said- full support to BJP's decision
Amid speculations of resentment, Maharashtra’s acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that there is no difference of opinion among the Mahayuti allies regarding government formation. Along with this, he said that whatever decision the Bharatiya Janata Party takes regarding the new Chief Minister of the state, it will have its full support. Let us tell you, there was speculation that Shinde was not happy with the formation of the new government, but one of his aides told that he was ill and would return to Mumbai on Sunday evening.
Speaking to reporters at his native village Dare in Satara district, Shinde said talks on government formation were underway and all decisions would be taken by consensus by the three Mahayuti partners Shiv Sena, BJP and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). On his visit to his native village, Shinde said that he visits his village regularly and there should be no confusion about his visit, as he had made his stand on the post of Chief Minister clear last week itself.

Shinde said, ‘Right now my health is good. I came here to rest. There was a lot of running in the elections. I had 8-10 meetings in one day. I had not taken any leave during my tenure of 2-2.5 years. The government is a government with the voice of the people. My support is with the government. I have full support to whatever Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah say. There is coordination among our three parties.

Maharashtra unit chief of BJP Chandrashekhar Bawankule said on Saturday that the swearing-in ceremony of the new Mahayuti government will be held at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai on the evening of December 5 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend it. It has not been announced yet who will be the Chief Minister, but BJP sources said that Devendra Fadnavis, who has been Chief Minister twice, is the frontrunner for this post.
