The grand alliance includes the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCP. It is contesting from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which includes the Congress, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena and Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Speaking to media persons during his election rally in Nagpur today, Fadnavis said, “They are descendants of ‘Razakars’. The ‘Razakars’ oppressed the people of Marathwada, looted their lands, tried to rape women and destroyed families. Destroyed. How can they talk to us?”
