Maharashtra: Why is Eknath Shinde angry? Ramdas Athawale made a big revelation
Amid the ongoing suspense over Maharashtra’s new Chief Minister, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leader Ramdas Athawale on Tuesday claimed that Devendra Fadnavis will play the top role and appealed to Eknath Shinde to accept the post of Deputy CM. The BJP has called a meeting of its legislature party on November 4, with sources claiming that Fadnavis will be elected party leader, paving the way for him to take over as the chief minister.

Ramdas Athawale said that I believe that in the meeting to be held tomorrow, BJP observers will listen to all the MLAs and the name of Devendra Fadnavis can be announced tomorrow itself. Eknath Shinde has no problem, he has already announced that he is not in the race for Chief Minister. He further said that the BJP high command has already told him that he will not be made the Chief Minister. He has the option of taking the post of President of Mahayuti or becoming a Union Minister but he is not ready for it. He is very nervous.
Grand alliance leaders of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP reached Azad Maidan in Mumbai to take stock of the preparations ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Maharashtra Chief Minister on December 5. Senior NDA leaders and several chief ministers are likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony. BJP leader Girish Mahajan said that a good program is going to be organized here on 5th December. Tomorrow there is going to be a meeting of BJP Legislature members, in which it will be decided who will be the CM. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also going to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat also said that the swearing-in ceremony will be organized in a grand manner. We will know this evening whether Eknath Shinde will be a part of the government or not? We (Shiv Sena) will hold a meeting this evening. Dismissing rumors of a standoff over the chief ministerial post, Shiv Sena leader Deepak Kesarkar on Monday clarified that acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is not the reason for the delay in formation of the new Maharashtra government.

Kesarkar, addressing the growing speculations, said that it is wrong to say that Eknath Shinde is the reason for not forming the government in the state. He said that BJP has appointed observers and the chief ministerial face will be announced today. He reiterated that Shinde has firmly placed the decision in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, showing his commitment to the unity and purpose of the Mahayuti alliance.
