Due to the impact of northern icy winds in Rajasthan, winter has intensified and normal life has been affected due to freezing cold and fog. According to Jaipur Meteorological Centre, the cold wave is likely to remain the same for the next two-three days and the effect of the cold wave is likely to increase further on Wednesday. According to the Centre, due to dense fog on Tuesday morning, visibility remained low in many districts including Jaipur, Ajmer, Rajsamand, Sikar, Pali, Kota, Jodhpur, Udaipur and drivers had to face a lot of problems on the roads.

A center official said that the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius in Barmer. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 2.2 degrees Celsius in Mount Abu, the only hill tourist destination of the state. He said that Lunkaransar of Sriganganagar and Bikaner was the coldest place in the plains, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 4.6 degrees on Tuesday morning. The minimum temperature recorded was 4.8 degrees in Fatehpur, 4.9 degrees in Ajmer, 5.2 degrees in Bikaner, 5.6 degrees in Dabok, 6.2 degrees in Chittorgarh, 6.3 degrees Celsius in Churu. The minimum temperature was recorded below 10 degrees at many places including the capital Jaipur.
