The Special Cell of Delhi Police has raided a warehouse in a building in Ramesh Nagar, West Delhi this evening and recovered approximately 204 kg of cocaine/drugs. This consignment of drugs was hidden in salty packets and kept in boxes. The value of this consignment of drugs in the international market is said to be around Rs 2000 crore. Recently, the Special Cell had conducted a raid in Vasant Vihar Mahilapur and arrested 7 people and recovered cocaine worth about Rs 5600 crore and Thailand’s Mervana from a warehouse. In this case, the Special Cell came to know that this syndicate was being run by someone from the Middle East sitting abroad. This consignment was brought to Delhi by road from UP via Thailand.

204 kg high quality cocaine recovered

Taking the investigation forward in this case, the Special Cell arrested a youth named Ekhlak from Hapur. On his trail, input was received about Ramesh Nagar of Delhi that a person from UK has brought a huge consignment of drugs here and it is to be sent to some states including Mumbai. Before the special cell could reach this building in Ramesh Nagar, the person hailing from UK escaped. Here, the police recovered about 204 kg of high quality cocaine packed in boxes and packets of snacks, whose price in the international market is Rs 2000 crore.

Rs 7600 crore till now. Consignment recovered

At present, these drugs have also been confiscated by the police. The foreign supplier, i.e. a person from UK, has been identified and he is being searched. Overall, the Special Cell has so far recovered drugs, cocaine and marijuana worth approximately Rs 7600 crore from this international drug syndicate. This is the biggest recovery so far in India.

Two people were sent to India from London

Investigation has revealed that Virendra Basoya, who runs a drug syndicate based abroad i.e. in the UK, had sent two people from London to India. The name of one of them is Jimmy and the other, a person from London, had brought drugs to Ramesh Nagar and is currently absconding. Jimmy had brought drugs worth Rs 5600 crore and another foreigner had brought drugs worth Rs 2000 crore to Ramesh Nagar.

How was the payment done?

Cocaine worth Rs 2000 crore was tracked and reached here through the vehicle and hotel of a foreign drug dealer. Earlier Tushar Goyal, Himanshu and Aurangzeb and Bharat Jain were arrested. Investigation has also revealed that the payment for drugs was made through crypto currency USDT. At present, more people of this nexus are being searched so that it can be found out in which type of parties and concerts in Mumbai and which cities these drugs were to be supplied.
