The Defense Minister further said that you all must have seen that all the professionals of the country worship their musical instruments once a year. On Diwali and Vasant Panchami students worship their ink and books.
Rajnath Singh celebrated Vijayadashami with army personnel in Darjeeling on Saturday. He also performed Shastra Puja. The Union Minister also applied tilak on the forehead of the soldiers. During this he said that I wish all of you and your families a very happy Vijayadashami. I am very happy that I got the opportunity to perform Shastra Puja here among all of you. India is one of the few countries where we worship the scriptures and they are given due respect. This may seem like a small thing, but in reality, it shows our high respect and culture where we worship something before using it.

He said that Shastra Puja is not just the worship of our equipment but also our respect for our work.
Rajnath further said that you all have been following this ritual for years. Today is the day of victory and also the day when Ram killed Ravana. Not only this but it was a victory for humanity. I see the qualities of Lord Rama. He clearly said that till date our soldiers have attacked any other country only when our culture was insulted and not because of any hatred. I once again wish everyone on this occasion.
