Online fraud of Rs 56 lakh from book seller

Cyber ​​​​thugs allegedly cheated a book seller of Puttur taluka of Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka of Rs 56 lakh. Police gave this information. Police sources in Mangaluru said that the book seller, who was the victim of this fraud of Rs 56 lakh, registered a case with the police on Wednesday.

In his complaint, the 57-year-old victim said that recently he received a message on WhatsApp informing him about a task and when he initially completed two such tasks, he got Rs 123 and Rs 492 respectively.

The victim of fraud said that initially he got a total of Rs 52,000 back for completing all the tasks and later he did not get any money even though he had paid more than Rs 56 lakh.

When the victim stopped receiving money, he came to know that he had been cheated and he called the cyber portal and informed about the fraud of Rs 56.71 lakh. The crime branch of the police has registered a case under relevant provisions on the complaint of the victim.
