Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief K Sudhakaran and leader of opposition in the state assembly V D Satheesan questioned why the chief minister was silent on the matter, while not even expressing his condolences to the bereaved family.

The opposition Congress in Kerala on Saturday targeted Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and questioned his silence on the alleged suicide of former Kannur ADM Naveen Babu. Babu was accused of corruption by CPI(M) leader PP Divya.

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief K Sudhakaran and leader of opposition in the state assembly V D Satheesan questioned why the chief minister was silent on the matter, while not even expressing his condolences to the bereaved family.

Describing Babu as an honest and good officer, Sudhakaran alleged that the government was delaying the investigation of the case. Satheesan also made similar allegations and claimed that Vijayan and his office were trying to protect the culprits of Babu’s alleged suicide. He also said that CPI(M) prepared fake documents to show Babu as corrupt and to save former Kannur District Panchayat President Divya.
