On the auspicious occasion of Chhath festival, the foundation stone for the construction work of permanent Chhath Ghat next to Dhobi Ghat of Ganesh Nagar Complex was laid by the popular MLA of Laxmi Nagar, Abhay Verma. On this historic occasion, MLA Abhay Verma said that the construction work of permanent Chhath Ghat will be done by the Flood Control and Irrigation Department at a cost of approximately Rs 50 lakh 33 thousand. At this place, there were forests and bushes throughout the year, taking advantage of which anti-social elements used to commit illegal activities. Abhyudaya Ekta Manch has been celebrating the festival of Chhath by cleaning it once a year on the occasion of Chhath Puja. Now with the construction of a permanent Chhath Ghat, it will be much easier for Purvanchal society to celebrate the festival.

MLA Abhay Verma further said that from 2021 onwards, 10 temporary ghats will be constructed in Laxmi Nagar Assembly respectively – 1. Bank Enclave D.D.A. Park, 2. I&FC Land Near Dhobi Ghat, 3. Near Community Center Buddha Marg Mandawali, 4. Utsav Vatika Ganesh Nagar Complex, 5. D.D.A. Ground Nehru Enclave, 6. Ramlila Ground School Block Near Mother Dairy, 7. Utsav Park South Ganesh Nagar, 8. Saket Block Mandawali, 9. D.D.A. Open ground near M.C.D. Community Building School Block, 10. DUSIB PARK has been celebrating Chhath festival by building Sonia Vihar Camp slum near Saket block. This year too, preparations have been completed at all the ghats and every facility will be taken care of for the Chhath devotees.
On this occasion, Patron of Abhyudaya Ekta Manch Sunil Singh and President Hansraj Bhardwaj were present along with all their officials and heads of organizations related to all Chhath Ghats of Laxmi Nagar Assembly, Kamlesh Jha, Yogesh Gola, Vimlesh Jha, Birbal, Sanjeev Tiwari, Santosh Shah. , Sanjeev Roy, was also present, who was felicitated by MLA Abhay Verma by garlanding him for his contribution.
