Many parts of Maharashtra are in a bad condition due to heavy rains. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was to visit Pune today, but his program has been cancelled due to rain. PM Modi was to reach Pune today and inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth 22 thousand 900 crores, in which the ground breaking ceremony of many important programs including the inauguration of the metro train was to be done by him.
PM Modi was to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various projects in Pune district, including the inauguration of Solapur airport and the launch of Param Rudra supercomputers. Now that the PM is not going to Pune, it is possible that this program will be held through video conferencing, but no official information has been revealed about it so far.
There was a program to flag off the metro train
PM Modi was also scheduled to flag off the metro train running from Adalat Metro Station to Swargate in Pune today. With the inauguration of this metro section, the first phase of the Pune Metro Rail Project will be completed. The cost of the underground section between the District Court and Swargate is about Rs 1,810 crore. Along with this, PM Modi was also to lay the foundation stone of the Swargate-Katraj Extension of Pune Metro Phase-1, which is to be developed at a cost of about Rs 2,950 crore.
Sixth Pune visit would have been regarding the metro project
This was going to be PM Modi’s sixth visit to Pune regarding the metro project. The new metro line was to start from Thursday, September 26. A plan has also been prepared to further expand this metro line in the future, in which two more lines will be added. One of these is from PCMC to Nigdi and the other from Swargate to Katraj.
