A private bus caught fire due to short circuit on Tuesday evening near Dhaula Kuan in the national capital. An officer gave this information. The officer said that there were no passengers in the bus at the time of the incident.
The driver was the only person present in the bus and he managed to get out of it, after which he informed the fire department. A Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official said the fire was reported at around 8:15 pm and three fire tenders were sent to the spot.
He said the fire was brought under control within about an hour. The official said the bus was coming from Rajasthan and police said it was suspected that the fire might have been caused by a short circuit.
