A 26-year-old property dealer, who was traveling on a motorcycle near Jaddu Parsia petrol pump in Deoria district, was shot dead in broad daylight on Thursday. Police gave this information.
According to the police, three unidentified assailants who came on a bike shot property dealer Nihal Singh in the head. Police officials said that after Nihal fell, the attackers fired two more bullets and then fled from the spot.
He said that passersby took the victim to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police area officer (Barhaj) Aditya Kumar said that an FIR has been registered against unknown people and teams have been formed for investigation.
The murder spread anger among the local people and they started gathering at the spot. However, police officers reached the spot with additional force to calm the situation. According to officials, Nihal (26) was a resident of Samogar village in Madanpur and was the only son of his family.
