During the encounter in Budhapatri, Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army soldier Rifleman Kesar Ahmed Shah, resident of Anantnag, displayed bravery. Rifleman Qaiser Ahmed Shah was taking the convoy to the base camp in his car when the terrorists ambushed him from a height. This area is about 20 kilometers away from the border and five kilometers away from Gulmarg. This is a hilly and forested area, there is a mountain on one side and a drain on the other side. It was here that a terrorist attack took place on the army convoy.
How did the attack happen?
There is constant movement of Indian Army convoys in this area and that is why the terrorists had received information with the help of their over ground workers that the Indian Army convoy was crossing from here. Meanwhile the terrorists set up an ambush. The number of terrorists was around 3-4. Meanwhile, the terrorists fired burst rounds from the top of the mountain. In this firing, the driver of the vehicle and rifleman Kesar Ahmed Shah were shot, along with four porters who were also present in the vehicle. Of these, two porters who were residents of Baramulla were also shot and attained martyrdom there.
Kaiser attacked despite being shot
The terrorists fired continuously for five minutes but in a display of bravery, the brave rifle man Qaiser Ahmed Shah of the Indian Army, who is a resident of Anantnag Kashmir, despite being shot, raised his weapon and started firing continuously towards the terrorists. Along with Kaiser, two more soldiers of the Indian Army were continuously trying to surround the terrorists from all sides with bullets. Meanwhile, the terrorists could not come closer and at least 300 rounds were fired.

The terrorists were under the cover of a mountain on one side and a drain on the other and then rifle man Qaiser Ahmed Shah opened fire continuously due to which the terrorists left one of their bags containing their belongings and the flame firer which the terrorists use to set fire. Those who fled have been recovered.
Army operation continues
According to the information, the operation to eliminate these terrorists is still going on. The 18th Rashtriya Rifles unit of the Indian Army and the Special Forces personnel are currently engaged in searching for the terrorists.
