According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain here in the coming two days. Yellow alert has been issued here for Monday. According to the Meteorological Department update, a low pressure area is lying over southwest and west-central Bay of Bengal, off the coasts of northern Tamil Nadu and southern Andhra Pradesh. It extends up to 5.8 km above sea level and is inclined towards the south-west.

Cyclone Dona has arisen from low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, heavy rain is expected at different places. Heavy rain and thunderstorm is also expected at isolated places in many other districts including Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Shivamogga, Davanagere, Ballari, Tumkur, Chitradurga, Chikballapur and Kolar. Meanwhile, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely over many parts of North Interior Karnataka, while similar conditions are likely over most districts of South Interior Karnataka. Moderate rain is expected in many areas in Dakshina Kannada. Bengaluru will be generally cloudy with light to moderate rain and thundershowers. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 26 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to be around 20 degrees Celsius.
