In Rajasthan’s Udaipur district, a woman committed suicide after hanging her five-year-old son. A police officer gave this information.
Falasia police station officer Sitaram said that the bodies of Kamala Devi (27), resident of Damana village, and her five-year-old son Himanshu were found hanging in the room of the house on Thursday.
He told that after receiving the information, the police reached the spot, brought down the bodies and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem. The officer said that the post-mortem of both will be conducted on Friday morning.
He told that preliminary investigation revealed that the woman had a dispute with her husband over some issue, after which she took this step. The officer said that it is possible that the woman first hanged her son and then After that he himself committed suicide by hanging himself.
Sitaram said that the real reasons would be known after investigation and post mortem report. He told that the family members of the deceased expressed suspicion of murder on the husband and in-laws.
The official said that on receiving the news of the death of the woman in the tribal dominated area, the family members and villagers expressed anger and additional police force was deployed to maintain law and order in the area. He said that the police is investigating the matter.
