Rajat Sharma's Blog | Baba Siddiqui's murder: Why is the administration so helpless in front of a gangster?

The sensational murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai has shocked everyone. Police have revealed in the court that evidence has been found linking the murder of Baba Siddiqui to gangster gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi. Police claim that the shooters were ordered to kill Baba Siddiqui as well as his son Zeeshan Siddiqui. The police have so far identified a total of 6 criminals in this case, out of which 3 are in police custody. The two shooters, Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap, were caught by the police just hours after the murder. The third accused Praveen Lonkar was arrested from Pune. In the interrogation so far, the shooters told that they were only told the targets by the Lawrence gang, everything from stopping, recce to weapons were provided. The responsibility of every boy was fixed but no one knows who ordered the murder? On whose instructions was Baba Siddiqui attacked? These shooters told that they were given the target to eliminate Baba Siddiqui and his son Zeeshan. Gurmail Singh, Dharamraj Kashyap and Praveen Lonkar have been arrested. One shooter Shiv Kumar Gautam is absconding. It was Shiv Kumar Gautam who opened fire targeting Baba Siddiqui. The fifth accused Zeeshan Akhtar is absconding. Zeeshan was coordinating with the shooters. The sixth accused Shubham Lonkar is also absconding.

Shubham Lonkar alias Subu Lonkar is the brother of Praveen Lonkar. Both of them prepared shooters Shivkumar and Dharamraj for the attack, made arrangements for their stay in Mumbai and gave them weapons. After the murder of Baba Siddiqui, Shubham Lonkar took responsibility for the murder in a Facebook post. Tagged Lawrence Bishnoi Gang and Anmol Vishnoi in his post. The police suspect that all these novices are pawns in the murder of Baba Siddiqui and that big criminals are behind it. The surprising thing is that out of the 6 accused, 4 have no criminal record. The murder of Baba Siddiqui has now become a big issue in the politics of Maharashtra. I believe that the way Baba Siddiqui was murdered is shocking and horrifying. Baba had Y category security, but the security personnel could not save him. He was not even visible anywhere. Baba had received death threats. Even though the police were aware of the threat perception, the killers came and shot them at point blank range. The biggest thing is that 20-22 year old boys were taken for this work. There are many among them who have no criminal background, and are becoming heroes by committing their first murder. Posting their dark exploits on social media. This is a pattern, which is visible from Delhi to Mumbai. If this is the work of jailed Lawrence Bishnoi then it is even more worrying.

How can a dangerous criminal run his gang while sitting in jail? How did he prepare 200 boys for murder by training them in shooting? And the policemen say that Lawrence Bishnoi gets this work done for Rs 10-20 thousand. How is it possible that he can hire whomever he wants and fire at whomever he wants? What are our security agencies doing? Has intelligence failed? The question is not just about Baba Siddiqui, or about Nadir Shah who was killed outside the gym in Delhi. The question is that gang war is going on openly in cities like Delhi and Mumbai. The business of hiring boys from UP, Haryana and Punjab to commit murders is going on. Someone will have to answer this. Someone has to stop this storm of crime. Yogi Adityanath has shown this in UP. He has created fear in the hearts of criminals. A model has been prepared to eliminate the mafia. This model needs to be implemented in other states also. Whichever government does this, I am sure, it will get full support of the public.
