Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the construction of this inspirational place has forever imprinted the sacrifice of our brave soldiers in history. As long as this place exists, it will make the people of this region aware of the bravery of our soldiers. And will inspire them. When I was looking at our 22 soldiers, I noticed one thing. Out of those 22 soldiers, some were from Nagaland, some from Uttar Pradesh, some from Tamil Nadu, some from Rajasthan, some from Telangana and some from Assam. Meaning soldiers from almost all regions of India were in that list. Despite being from different parts of India, these soldiers sacrificed their lives to protect the people here.

Singh also delivered the keynote address to senior military officers at the conference. The Defense Minister emphasized on the current complex and ambiguous world situation which affects everyone globally. He said that unconventional and asymmetric warfare, including hybrid warfare, will be part of future conventional wars and this is evident in the recent conflicts taking place in different parts of the world. This has made it necessary that the armed forces should take into account all these aspects.” Planning and devising strategies to involve global people, in the present as well as in the past, so as to prevent damage control Could.

The meeting took stock of the sensitive situation along the LAC, especially in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh where both sides are witnessing standoffs and face-offs on a regular basis. The conference is being organized in two phases. The first phase will run from October 10-11, 2024 in Gangtok, while the second phase is scheduled from October 28-29, 2024 in Delhi. Defense officials told ANI that this is the first time that the important meeting of top army commanders will be held at a location close to the Line of Actual Control.
