An increasing number of patients come here from remote districts for treatment, due to which there is more pressure on the patients. Many broker type people are trying to take advantage of this. He also gets support from some junior residents (junior doctors) of KGMU. Many residents are sending patients to private hospitals on the pretext of good treatment. Upon receiving information about this, the KGMU administration has terminated the services of five junior residents (non-PG) posted at the Trauma Center of KGMU.

Taking advantage of this, many residents posted here send patients to the designated hospital. Ambulances of these hospitals are already present outside the trauma centre. These ambulances take the injured and patients directly there. An administrative officer of KGMU said that a complaint was received against some junior residents (non-PG) for shifting patients. Upon investigation the complaint was found to be true. After this they were removed.
