He said that I have not made any allegations but I have just put forward some facts. Sharad Pawar was the Chief Minister from 1998-1991 and during that time he went to London and then to California for a meeting. He came back to London and then Prakash Ambedkar said that ‘he went to Dubai. He met Dawood Ibrahim in Dubai. We are asking whether the Central Government had approved this meeting.

Ambedkar insisted that the details of Pawar’s meeting with Ibrahim should be made public. Ambedkar further said that Pawar returned to London that evening and returned to India two days later. He also stressed that as chief minister, Pawar could not travel abroad without the approval of the central government. He also questioned whether the central government specifically approved Pawar’s visits and meetings with Dawood, and whether any reports of these meetings were submitted to the central government.
