New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday vacated his official residence and shifted to the bungalow of a Rajya Sabha MP of his party in Lutyens Delhi. On this, Aam Aadmi Party’s rebel Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has targeted Arvind Kejriwal without taking his name.
Taunted Kejriwal by taking the name of Lord Ram
Swati Maliwal tweeted on X handle and wrote, ‘One was Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram, who left the palace and spent 14 years in the forest. Fought a powerful demon like Ravana for the honor of women. Nowadays, people who compare themselves with Lord Shri Ram, leave one palace and go to live in another palace by calling it a great sacrifice. Ideals are forgotten behind illusion. They save the person who attacks women, they find solace in this. Hey Ram!’
Kejriwal will now live in the party MP’s house
Let us tell you that the bungalow where Kejriwal will live is on Ferozshah Road near Mandi House and is the official residence of Punjab Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal. This bungalow is very close to the Aam Aadmi Party headquarters. Now Kejriwal will live with his family in this bungalow.
Many MPs and MLAs had offered to give their houses.
Let us inform that on Thursday, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also shifted to the bungalow located on Rajendra Prasad Road. Party leaders said this house is the official residence of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh. Several party leaders, including MPs, MLAs and councilors, had offered their houses to Kejriwal after he decided to leave 6, Flagstaff Road in North Delhi’s Civil Lines.
In a video message, AAP MP Mittal said he was happy to know that Kejriwal had chosen his house. He said that when he (Kejriwal) resigned from the post of Chief Minister, I came to know that he had no place to live. I invited him to be my guest at my Delhi residence and I was very happy that he accepted my request.
