Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday criticized the Uttar Pradesh government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for obstructing his visit to the Jaiprakash Narayan International Center (JPNIC) in Lucknow on the birth anniversary of the Samajwadi icon. He also accused the state government of deliberately preventing him and his supporters from paying tribute to Jayaprakash Narayan by barricading them with tin sheets and urged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to withdraw his support to the BJP-led government. Akhilesh did this because Nitish Kumar’s roots were linked to the Jaiprakash Narayan movement.

However, Ranitish Kumar’s party is furious over Akhilesh’s appeal. Along with this, he has clearly said that NDA is unbreakable and will remain unbreakable in future also. JD(U) spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan sharply criticized Akhilesh’s statement which referred to Nitish Kumar and questioned his commitment to Jayaprakash Narayan’s values. Rajiv Ranjan said whether Akhilesh Yadav wants to limit his tribute only to Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan or does he accept his life values also?
Rajeev Ranjan said that JP fought for the concept of total revolution and called for change in the system by opposing dynastic politics and dominance of familyism. If Akhilesh Yadav had given even the slightest priority to those values, the Samajwadi Party would not have been completely under the control of a family. Actually, Akhilesh had said that there are many people, socialist people in the government who are running the government. The Chief Minister of Bihar also talks about him from time to time, Jananayak Jaiprakash ji, he has emerged from his movement.

JDU has really felt very bad about what Akhilesh said next. Akhilesh further said that he has also got this opportunity to withdraw support from the government which is not allowing the socialists to remember the day of Jayaprakash Jayanti. Because Nitish Kumar ji of Bihar has emerged from this movement, staying with JP Narayan ji has strengthened his movement.
