Sunkind has won the contract for 570 MW solar power project from the Government of Maharashtra. The renewable energy sector company said in a statement on Monday that this contract has been given by Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MahaGenco) under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY 2.0).

“Mahagenco’s 569 MW EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) project takes Maharashtra’s renewable energy sector a step forward,” it said.

Hanish Gupta, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sunkind, said, “This project will have a significant impact on agricultural power distribution in the Nashik region and will serve as a model for future renewable energy initiatives. It will increase agricultural productivity through reliable power supply.” The company, however, has not disclosed the value of this contract.
