Seven people, including five children, were buried underground in a landslide in Tiruvannamalai. According to the official statement, the deceased have been identified as Rajkumar and his wife Meena (27). The family lived on 11th Street in VOC Nagar. The incident happened around 4 pm when Rajkumar came to know that a tree had fallen on his house. A big rock rolled down the mountain and fell on their house. He said that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was informed about the incident. 39 soldiers are engaged in rescue work.
